Hello everyone,

I am trying to study “depth of field, DOF” from Maya and then composite in the After effects. I read some article on line and heard a lot about render “RLA” file from Maya and then use the “3D channel” effect from the After Effects. I also rendered the Luminance pass from Maya and it does not work in AE. I am very confused about how to intergrate DOF between Maya and AE. Would you please give me a short tutorial about this issue or do you know where I can have a tutorial about it. Thanks and I am appreciated.

Sincerely:)

Frank Tai

Hi

Well, it is good to know that you solved your problem, but I think you should have a look on some plugins that will give you amazing look for your DOF like lenscare plus it will understand the Luminance depth pass from Maya
