View Full Version : Error 1406. Could not write value to key...

I was using Painter 9.5 (trial verion) and while I was testing Brush editor (ctrl+B), some glitch happen. Painter sent a message and gave me 2 choices. First is countinue working and second is close without saving. And then, everytime I open Painter 9.5, that glitch appears. I can't imagine what happen so I uninstall and install again. Now there is another glitch . There's a error (Error 1406. Could not write value to key \StdFont\CLSID. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel) and give me 3 choices (Ignore, Retry, Abort). I can't retry cause it will ask me again and again. So I clicked Ignore cause if I click Abort, It will quit intallation. And when I clicked Ignore, Errors happen. Those are ( Couldn't write value to key \OldFont\CLSID and \StdPicture\CLSID).

It's so annoy me :| Even I install Painter Essesal3 from CD bundle of wacom tablet, it still happen :(

What kind of hardware are you trying to sue Painter on:
CPU? Ram, video card, etc.

Boot Painter while holding the shift key down. You should not need to re-install.

I think I can't use Painter anymore :( I couldn't fix that :(
