Title: The Horse and the Donkey
Name: Jean-Charles Velders
Country: France
Software: CINEMA 4D, Photoshop, ZBrush

Made for a contest.
The subject was the illustration of a fable of "La Fontaine".
My choice was "the Horse and the Donkey"

Made with C4D/ZBrush/Photoshop
Rendered in Ray tracing

The aim was to catch the children univers, but with the bit of mystery, always prensent in fables.
More than illustrated the fable, i tryed to give the keys of the moral, thanks to the owl family

Feel free to comment and criticize. (composition, mood, colors, technic, or anything else)
Thank you in advance,

Great image. The only thing i would add is a little bit of more color contrast for a better sight of the things, like the owls. Congratulations, it´s amazing.

ahhaha this is awesome! great job. the little owls are great. like said before, a little contras and saturation would give it a little more life.

Great work! I like it. The animals look a bit "Shrek-ish", which is a good thing.

This is so cute. It put a smile on my face. The donkey reminds me of my dog when she's sleeping. :)
