Ello, ello, ello.
Here's my first try in this challenge, I'll hopefully finish it, not like the last one :(.
OK, to the point - that's fifth chamber concept - an open pit mine. I imangined they have so powerful tool that they could cut out the pieces they wanted, so it left kinda sharp and unnaturally round and smooth "scars" in the . I'm just not about the composition - is the left side too distracting? I wanted to show the waterfall on the left in closer view, but it might atttract the eye too much off the river...
It's really rough, but I hope it gets the idea across and is worth some comments ;)

I flipped it and added some detail work. It came out totally different comparing to what I imagined, but maybe it'll come out better than the imagine one... We'll see.

The composition is good. I love black and white.
The problem so far is that there are many little arrows pointing this way and that, but in the end there isn't anything much as a focus to point at. You describe the process by which the mining is done bu the Stoners--show it! Show them mining.
Or find a way to make some parts, perhaps that center pillar anthropomorphic. If it is, as you say, shaped by humans, then give it some human form, or signs of something human. Scale is important.
The train runs through the chamber, maybe there's a way to show that.

I changed the composition, the right wal was leading the eye out of the main eyepath and it was kinda distracting, although I liked the fact that it gave a sense of scale to it... I'll aslo need to consider the multiple-cut stone that is blocking the pathway. I thought it could be main point of interest showing the thing the stoners could do to the rocks, but ... i don't know, Gotta sleep on it.

nwiz25 - thanks for appreciation :)
Ernest - hmm... I didn't think about showing the stoners. I was aiming for looks when they abandoned the chamber. It doesn't have any point of interest and nothing shows the scale, yeah. I really need to think about it. I've gone too wild with it and tried to make it too complex. :(

How about, instead of miners, some mining equipment, scaffolding, cranes, rigging, stuff to show the procedure of mining. Something totally artificial to juxtapose the rock surface.

I love your indication of forms, and so far you have a nice mood going on here. I agree that maybe some abandoned equipment would compliment the piece. Keep up the great work!!

Bryce - hey, thanks for checkin in. :)
dragginart - yeah, my mind was circling around this as well, good idea :). I think I'll change the angle of the camera as well. Gonna work on that, thanks for input, good advice. :)
NathanielWest - wow, thank you for appreciation :) and yeah - I'll develop it further. Right now I feel like I would use two more days in a week.....
Cheers all. :)
