Hi!

I have created a simple door in maya (built of a couple of cubes etc). I have made a planar mapping on the door and layed out the UVs in the UV Texture Editor.

How do I save a picture of the UV Layout so that I can paint it in Photoshop, and how do I put the painted UV Layout back on the door?

Thanks/ Robin

In the texture editor, under Polygons go to snapshot UV.

Then assign the shader that you want and in the attribute editor - color, you click on the little checkered button. Choose "file" and then choose the file that you have saved.
