is there any tool or mel script that is similar to the slice plane tool in 3DS? this tool basically makes a plane, and then you can slice which will make vertexes on the intersections of the plane the geometry...

cut faces tool in 4.5 will do it

but last time i checked the cut faces does it on a straight line from one end to the other... i can't pick just half of the screen to the other... does that make sense?
