Hey,

Not really sure where to post this =\ but, I'm creating some cartoon characters for a client and they don't want real/physical mouths instead they want something like a sticker for a mouth, just like a black circle or what ever.

Would be it best to just use textures, or actually model it in and change the material on just the polygons I want for the mouth?

The client did say about animating, but the characters wont move like humans - they will move like plastic toys ( eg, arms only move up/down, head only moves left/right ) so there will be no facial movements apart from the mouth.

Thanks

Well if theres not going to be any facial animation then you can get away with a texture. It might depend on the design though.
