Hey Guys!

Ok im very new to video editing and such, but for my college project i need to create a short film.....It only involved one effect where one of the characters blows somthing out his mouth. Its similar to the GIF i attached....

Could you guys give me some advice or guide me to a tutorial (i looked everywhere) that covers video and effects fused together like this?

Thanks allot - Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Heres the GIF:

Depends on what you want coming out of the mouth - but I would use Particular from Trapcode to achieve that type of effect.

Mainly it would just be creating a motion path with a light emitter and then tweaking the settings. Particular comes with a ton of presets so it should only take a few hours to achieve what you are looking for. You may have to do some frame by frame editing to get the particle to look like they are actually being emitted from a persons mouth (or wherever) but after you do that the rest should be relatively easy.

If you need more check out the tutorials that Trapcode has one their site www.trapcode.com (http://www.trapcode.com), also CreativeCow is another good source of tutorials for special fx like the one you need.

I hope this answers your question and Good Luck on your video!
