Wow, I love it. The one thing that bothers me slightly is the position of that large moon. At first glance I thought the creature was trapped inside a bubble or something. Either move the creature or the moon. I would suggest moving the moon to the top right corner.

I must say I love the entire concept. Wonderful thought and very well executed. I think the shadows look a little off though, right now it looks like the main creature and the guy are illuminated from right above than the small sun on the extreme left of the image. If you intended the lightsource to be on top(which I can understand, the planet may have multiple suns and such) I think it might be a good idea to get rid of the one in the corner since it is not really contributing to the image as such.
Also, I really like how you have two creatures in the image with their own body language, one that is posing for the camera and the other one just minding its own business. The appendages on the head for the non-posing one look a little odd/unnatural. If they drooped a little, it might look a little more believable/relaxed and make the posing creature a little more cute (as if it he stretched those appendages out for the camera).
Anyway, I think the image is really wonderful overall :)

Excellent work! I love the creature designs in this. It's all very well painted too.
