Here's a reel compilated only of my cartoonish stuff.

There's a PS2/PC game intro, commercials from Cartoon Network, some stuff for TV shows and other things.

Enjoy!

Hey Jonas, nice work! I didn't even know you dabbled in cartoony 3D work! Very nice job of compositing, texturing, and animation!

Thanks, rocky!

Well cartoonish isn't exactly my main field, but I've done a lot of it at ITE ApS, so I thought I'd compile a reel of it. Glad you like it, thanks for checking it out.

Cheers,
- Jonas

Nice work! I'd encourage you to reconsider your choice of soundtrack, though... not that any studio is going to listen to the music. But none-the-less, the Pirates music is too easily recognized and doesn't really fit the toony style.

Thanks guys!

Stowaway, you're right, it's not very toony music, but I've wanted to use this cue for a reel for more than two years now, it's such a great piece and its beats make it perfect for editing clips. Plus I have a weakness for Zimmer-ish epic music, forgive me. :)

Thanks for checking it out,
- Jonas

Your animation was a pleaseure to watch, how long have you been animating?
and im interested to know how you achieve that water effect too.

Good work! :bounce:
Loved the finishing it had...

Also, great idea including the shot breakdown IN the reel... mine is separate and many people end up asking me what exactly were my chores on the things in it...

Your reel was very easy and fun to watch, it seemed concise and condensed... kudos for that :applause:

I also did some cartoony stuff, if you can, take a look at my reel, thank you! :D

Hey,

muchas gracias for the compliments!

The water splashes trailing the boat is a morphing object - I modelled and textured the object, then collapsed the vertices to a thin and invisble object, which then morphs to the original object as the boat passes by.

The wave interaction is just Reactor water. (not a super water simulater, but for a toony boat seen from a distance, it'll do nicely)

Cheers,
- Jonas
