View Full Version : Question about PhyRis bake
ecore 10-26-2006, 10:59 AM Hi there,
Does anybody know how to bake the simulation with PhyRis to keyframe animation?
and how does the "Auto key framing" option work in the "SSR simulator" tag?
Thx:)

please use this link guys in future as the other one is not a public one really...i think nick would appreciate you removing the link entirely to be honest..if that possible.

The Remotion Phytools wiki is here.

obviously if you see difference in nicks and want to add/change/amend the official wiki then please be my guest thats what its there for...i've tried to move alot of it but we were all working at the same time on different stuff...so i've tried to bring them together as much as i can but admit i may have missed some stuff.

Thanks Flingster! That first link is to a test version of the wiki on my workstation, so it is out of date, and liable to disappear before too long...

btw...nick since you're around..i've added your pic of aabb and the keyframe text but if you think of anything else missed just let rip and add it for me will ya...i've tried my best to keep your stuff, remos and word it into something semi readable of my own not that it wasn't already of course...anyway its all our document now...so we are free to add as we go along.

Sorry Nick. I forgot we went to another wiki. Hope it didn't kill your server.

Thanks flingster:)another question, what's the material difference between RIS and SSR ?

Thanks flingster:)another question, what's the material difference between RIS and SSR ?
SSR is for "a great number of dynamic particles" whereas RIS is for 'rigid' objects.
BTW, can you remove the link to the test wiki from your quote of my first post above?
Thanks.

OK Nick, my error is now corrected :D

cheers for changing that guys..
tried adding SSR tags section...not complete and very much a copy paste setting values from the RIS tag and RIS materials tags...i'm assuming these values and setting work in the same manner if you spot any major differences or errors then just change on wiki or let me know your thoughts etc and i'll update it for ya..

not sure about defs for below stuff yet..but try and get those added/updates asap...unless someone feels confident enough to add em for me...hint hint..lol

"ReFluid 2D is still not publicaly available but it is not dead and will probably becomes part of PhyTools later. "
I saw this in the remo wiki.Is there any new feature in the new fluid?
and my c4d 9.6 usually crash when use ReFluid v0.4:(

ok firstly all the xsph things we've posted on c4d forum...is not related to refluid...YET. Refluid uses a different method and is currently limited to 2d...we are hoping to add to XSPH and refluid may become part of phytools at a later date...watch this space on that one. as for refluid v0.4 crashing can you give us anymore info on this OS, etc and how to replicate error even a scene if you have one which crashes it..there have been no updates to it for quiet awhile and whether remo will is another thing as he's likely to port anything useful into phytools...but more info is good and we'll see what we can do. cheers
XSPH is a viscous fluid sim which works using particles to simulate thick fluids essentially...give it a try its in the latest phytools demo afaik.

Thx flingster.
If refluid become part of phytools, does it still simulat 2d fluid?or become part of 3d fluid sim?
I think some 2d fluid simulation tools has the existence necessity in c4d :)

you'll have to wait and see...refluid at the moment is only to a restricted sized 2d plane anyway...but i agree some sort of texture based fluid or various sized object based might be useful as would a 3d fluid...anyway the results of refluid look nice and would like to keep that..but all the rest is with remo to decide
