I'm quite a newbie... I'm into a Maya "Digital Animator" master.
I did a very basic rig on a cartoon character as an exercitation... did the smooth bind... i animated it... (i also have some clusters)
Now the problem is....
Can i scale down the whole character... ???
Do i have to remove the smooth bind?? Do again the animation??
Help pleaseee!!

Just select the root joint and group it on itself, then you can scale the group.

Oh, i forgot something, you should put the pivot point of the group, on the floor before scaling.
What about the clusters? What did they deform?

well the I'm working on a NURBS surface... and they are assigned to points for moving mouth and Eyebrows.
I did the group as u said... The Clusters seems to work, but maybe the envelope is too big now that i scaled down the NURBS surface... Am I right?

Sorry for the low quality of the render... it's just a preview... :)

First off, I wouldn't suggest scaling by the root joint directly. It can lead to some unsavory surprises. For my characters I put everything under a single group. Doing this makes for easy translating, rotating, and scaling, with no worries about the IK going wiggy.

As far as the clusters go, I'm sorry to say I can't help ya, don't have much experience using them.
