Title: Camilla Grow's Kalanie
Name: Juan Miguel Rivas Bernardez
Country: Espaņa
Software: GIMP, Photoshop
This is a commissioned piece featuring a character adopted through Portrait Adoption*.
I've used GimpShop -The Gimp with a Photoshop-like interface-
As it is an adopted piece, critiques would only be considered as advice for future artwork
My main concern with this kind of character commission, appart from getting her physical likeness right, is to show her distinct personality. In this case, since you don't get to draw a "sweet and nice" dark elf too often, I've indulged in a bit of "cheesecake".
Drawing this kind of dark skin could be seen as a way of easing the transition between BW and color artwork.
* The piece is displayed here upon agreement with the customer. Usually Portrait Adoption only allows small, watermarked versions
