View Full Version : forming the waist/thigh area question
_Kameron_ 02-06-2003, 05:39 AM I've been trying for two weeks to model the waist/thigh area in Maya 4.5 but I'm getting no results. I've probaly put in over 100 hours trying to get it right but no matter what i do it never looks right (espicially the part where the thigh is extruded).
So I was wondering if someone could tell me how they do it.
It sure would be helpful
i'm sure i asked this before but while the replies were helpful, i still can't do it

While this isn't exactly a how-to, look here:

And check out the rest of the site too. All great stuff.

those images are pretty helpful. thanks for the link!.
cool link! but i still get annoyed with modeling legs, because if you model them how they are in the picture, then when it comes to skinning they are very close and you will be weighting opposite leg vertices on accident.
So i model them a little further apart from each other, but then you still got the bigger gap in the groin area.
