View Full Version : After FX: FX clipping on layers smaller than Comp window...

I'm having a problem whe I add an effect to a layer whose size is smaller than the size of the composition. For example I have text imported from PS that is about 100x240 my screen is 720x480. Anyhoo, when I apply an effect to the text (mostly plug-ins) it clips to the size of the layer. In other words the effect wont go past 100x240. How do I avoid this?

you have to precomp your text layer (choose move not keep)

that s the rule in ae if it does nt work try to precomp
