while I understand that using pre-made layouts is quite comfortable at the beginning it's possibly not the best approach to it.
the purpose of layouts (especially on dual monitors) is not that of simply customizing your workspace once, layouts are meant to be used in large amounts.
They are all about reducing your interaction lag, and to do that mutliple layouts are a must.
If you ever saw a demo of XSI (where you have to show tons of features in less then a hour and therefore being fast is a key element) you maybe noticed that we tend to use several of them.
Setting them up can be dead boring and it sure takes some time at the beginning, but having separate layouts for modeling, animation, asset management, scripting and inspections is a HUGE timesaver; it spares you from switching views like mad, spares you the thousands of floating windows you end up with when you have a single layout and, most important, they can be bound to hotkeys.
I'm at the point at wich i have 6 layouts (modelling, animation, rendering, scene inspection and rendering optimization, scripting and FXtree) all bound to different keys, and this always prevents me from opening new windows and rearranging them everytime, all the tools and windows i need are one keystroke away.
take your time, experiment and come up with your own layouts, they can be badly organized and not so functional at the start, but in the long term you'll perfect them and love it.

Thanks for the advice !
I have never think at using different layouts, and now,I think it's evident.
Why didn't I think of it before? :surprised
Even if I am a beginner in general,I will try to make some.
Thanks.
