i realy am entersted into getting a 3d software and i also would like to make my own anime, i love manga! and i was wondering if this cell shader could make it like it was 2d? i dont know any thing about 3d but im planning on it once i save up for a 3d program. ive got time, i love being young.

We used the edge tracer and cellshader in Lightwave.
The trailer is finished. It took the two of us 4 weeks for 3 minutes. We want to post it on our website, but we haven't found the time. Plus, there are some changes we want to make before we do. We want to get more detail from the line art... Hopefully, it will be up before the end of the month.

I think the composition lighting and colour are fantastic!! Something just isn't sitting quite right with some of the celshading though and I can't quite figure out what it is...

Those pics are great! I had always wondered what happened to the Vagabond Story. I got the first (and I guess only) issue from you guess at a San Diego Comicon a few years ago.

I loved the story and art. I just wonder....are there any more issues after 1 and when can we expect the final movie.

Yeah, there was only one issue of Vagabond. We may release more in the future, but if we do there will be 3d incorporated in it.

As for the site, we're trying to find time to update it. Hopefully, very soon we will have the trailer up for viewing.

I use Lightwave, I love it. But, a friend showed me some ways to pull of a cell shade look in Maya aswell... I may look into it.

As far as the trailer goes... Its finished. We just have to post it on our website... But, it should be very soon...

That 3rd one is sweet, with the tough cowboyish dude and the strange guy with the glowing eyes behind him. It looks like it was inspired by gunslinger (very messed up book).

But why are all the jpegs such low quality? did you do like 30% in photoshop or somthing?

To be honest, I'm a novice when it comes to forums... This is my first one. Every Image I tried to upload 640x480 at 72 dpi jpg... Wouldn't load... I had to compress them... Any tips would be great... I would like to put Higher quality images up for you guys...

however on picture 12 i don't know if u modeled the building or not but i think u can add a bit more dirt or tarnish to the building cuz it looks rather clean...but thats my 2 cents.

There are some things we want to redo in the trailer. We wanted to make the changes before we post the trailer on our site... But, We are going to post it sometime tonight. Again, what we are posting will give you and idea of what we're trying to do...
