I was into 2danimation for about 2years(more of flash animation).Worked as a flash character animator in Illusion Interactive for a year.Decided to get into 3d and started working on 3danimation using gnomon workshop dvds as my tutor.I worked around 2months to complete my first 3dDEMOREEL.I have created all the characters using lowman editable rigged mesh(so thanks to Miguel Gonzalez for the lowman editable mesh with rig).

I hope u all like it .

Comments and constructive critiques are welcome.:)

I would really recommend against using the chicken little piece. You pretty much copied what disney did for the trailer. Your animation will always be compared to that level and trust me it will turn prospective employers off. Just pick a line from a movie and animate to that with your own acting , dont copy someone elses.

Nice reel, but it could use a bit of improvement. The movements sometimes stop suddenly at times and could use more follow through. Remember, in 3d if you dont animate any part of the body even for a short duration, it will seem dead.

As for the chicken little piece, I agree that you should incorporate your own acting in rather completely copy the whole piece itself. You can copy fully as a learning exercise but wouldnt be wise to put it in your reel

All the best :D

hi

sheepfactory,3dcga : thanks for the advice ,I will take note of that.I didn't mean to copy someone else .It was just that I liked the shot very much.Any ways I will see to it that I don't put any copy work from now on.

that was pretty cool! a lot of clips could use more weight/anticipation/follow-through but in general everything was pretty well done! about the last shot, just remember that if you use a sound clip from an animated movie, you're competing with the animation quality of a feature film.. which is usually better than yours because they are pros at it, and that just gives employers something to compare your work to. aside from that.. awesome work! good job specially for 2 months!
