Wow! First of all: very well done! Congrats! :applause:
You are right something seems slightly wrong here... hmm :hmm:
Okay, let's go through it:
Face looks good. Nose is a little too big for my taste, but that's very alright, anyway...
Hair looks really good too. No crits.
Arm and hands are perfect!!! I cannot remember having seen such perfect cg arms before! Damn good!!!
Breasts and belly: I thing this is the most problematic area! It's too smooth. The nipples don't have any bumps which is very rare I think  The belly is also "too perfect" Try to add some different color tones to the skin. Add a few liverspots and work a little(!) more with bumpmaps.
Legs are again perfect!

Overall this is a very beautiful picture! I really like it!
Maybe it will be even more realistic if you'd decrease the saturation! Her hairs are almost red ;)

Good work! Keep it up!

BTW do you have some wires? Would be really interesting! How did you model her? Is she rigged?

Greetings!

now i can't look on this pic..
like for me, only hands look good, and chair:)

Fox

mesh...:)hmmmm... i'm not proud of this:)
and riging was only to put she on the chair.
nothing special.

you know what tho, i think part of the reason why is because of the post in itself... it doesn't look relaxed, which i think adds to the artificiality of the picture. her weight seems to be resting on the spine, instead of it being on the arms like it normally would be when a person is sitting down like that... that's the only thing i could think of apart from all the other techniqualities mentioned...

Wow that's really good. I might be crazy but it looks like her head is not attached to her body, like it's shifted over to her left (our right). It looks funky to me. Is the model posed correctly and it's just how it looks or did you cheat it somehow?

Fox
02-06-2003, 02:49 AM
there is something about not attached head:) and mesh

Hmmm.

It looks like a collection of well done disjointed parts. Taken individually, the arms, legs, etc, all look ok, but they do not "jive" well together. Like look at where the legs meet the body. The parts dont really flow together like a cohesive whole.

Try changing up the lighting and the pose. Right now the lighting is kind of unnatural, since it is kind bright and focused, but coming from about three feet off of the ground, which is odd, and casts 'unfamiliar shadows'.

the real problem is her arms are not at rest with the chair, its almost like she is lifting them to houver above the chair, you have to sink her arms lover onto the char and have her skin hold around the edge of the chair.

Otherwise, wow, just... wow

First off, this is just great.

If I were to find any things wrong with it, they would be that the lines where the legs bend crease too sharply, and that the look in the eyes is either dead or that the eyes are too high from the bottom of the nose.

I may be wrong, but I don't see anything else that makes me think that this is a CG image.

Thank you for sharing this. Your work is more than excellent.

legs..:)

DarkLight

I think that part of the problem is the arm is not casting much of a shadow on the chair. If the arm sticks out a bit more and creates more of a shadow then it will look more convincing.

Just one question: WHO THE H*** IS THE REAL MODEL?
(I couldn't even move the mouse with her sitting in front of me)

Excellent model, my friend.

Oh, my God! Children, cover your eyes!

Hmm...not bad! I think her body needs a bit of fine tuning. I'd suggest more curvey thighs...urrrr...more rounded breasts...drrooolll...silky legs...coorrr!!!

Well crafted - not an easy subject to render convincingly. I agree with the earlier posts about the various body parts not quite being in tune with each other, but good nonetheless :)

her face looks like that of the role female character (cant remember her name) in final fantasy movie..

SoLi : That is exactly what I was thinking. She does look a little like Aki from Final Fantasy. Nevertheless, very nice model

Nice work, very convincing realism :)

I noticed two things about the lighting I might change if I were working on this. First is that the area where the legs join the body seem to cut away into shadow pretty abruptly without much definition. It'd be nice to see more evidence of the flesh of the stomach area compressing from the angle of the legs.
Also the shadows are just SOO black. In real life it'd be impossible to to get such strong highlights but have the shaded areas COMPLEATLY black (I take it your working from a photograph on this, it's certainly possible that with the right exposure the photo has pure-black shadows, but ultimatly I think it gives up too much of the form in this composition).

Anyway that's just my nitpicky critique, keep up the good work :buttrock:

awesome job. It looks great. Did you model her in that position or did you rig her, and place her like that? And my second question is how long did it take to texture her? I don't know if those questions were asked earlier... sorry if they were. Once again, great job.

Nice work, but the pose strikes me as looking a little stiff and forced. If you gave her a little more weight in the arms and shoulder area, it would really help the pose look more natural.

Sweet...definately! Just add more weight to the arms on the chair... add some kind of backlight to enhance the head and silloette... and work on bump maps, especially for the breasts focal points (the nips)

The body is very well modelled, but I think that the face looks like mans face. There is just something about her features that is very masculine.

Yes, I looked back to the first page and I see you have a point there. I think it has to do with the fact that the curves in her face are too hard and the expression in her face is too angry. A more softened face will do a lot, I think.

Hey man your model really rocks, I like the sense for realism (hands, the face and the hair look bueno) in your work. Is it your first model of a woman? Can she be animated as well?

Keap on :buttrock: man! You are doing great!

Ok, I guess that when this is your first human body I will have to add another :buttrock: oh yeah ah huh ah huh :buttrock: that's even better than man! Keap on the nice work, and if your demoreel character starts to get some nice legs and some juicy b00b you can always let us know... :curious:

Why did you put shadow on her crotch!!! I can't see anything.

No, seriously it is quite good. I would not say much about modeling, but rendering needs some sparkling. Maybe black&white or very intense lighting. It is now a bit too flat, like most of my renderings. But hey, this is not a much critique, I like your work.
