View Full Version : mirror/symetry of morphs with the new system?
Jannis 10-22-2006, 06:39 PM Just checking the new morph system thoroughly, can't see an option for mirroring or symetries with the system, either on the morph tag or anywhere else. Am I missing something here?

Right click on a target in the morph tag, or for more complex mirroring, or mirroring of all targets in one go, use VAMP. Vamp also transfers morphs from completely different models.

That is good, thanks. Is there any way for symetry? For example combining a left and right smile into a single morph?
And further more, is there a switch for zeroing the fourway User Data slider driven by the Driver tag or do you have to rigg your own expresso solution?
thanks kai

You can join any morphs together using the Freeze State button (i.e. create a mirror, then edit in place and blend the morphs however you want before freezing the state to a new morph).
How do you mean zeroing the userdata slider? If you mean to reset the position of the driving slider to any of the dots then yes. You can CTRL+Click on any of hte dots and that will set your driving slider to that position. (Shift + Click coincidentally turns on/off the Mix mode).

what I mean is with a fourway slider to reset it to its zero position meaning the centre of the slider where no morphing takes place. CD morph has it and it is a comon feature among riggers. Usually it is set up with expreso or scripting (if it is not part of the application or plugin) but I thought maybe with this update it is part of the four way slider functionality.

In that situation you'd normally have a target handle at that position in that case just do as I suggested CTRL+Click on the handle you want to go to in teh driver tag, if there's no handle at your zero positoin then the answer is no, and you'd have to either write a quick script to do this or use xpresso to do this. If you need to zero a lot of data at once to an actual zero then you can just multiselect the entries you want to zero in the am and ctrl+drag them or enter 0 into one numeric input and press ctrl+enter to set them all at once.

short answer is simply no, you need to setup a script or xpresso setup, I recommend making a script
