I need to take a camea path created in MAX and export that motion into Lightwave 7. Any ideas, plugins, or tools for this?

I mainly need to export a spline based camera path out of max, into Lightwave

Not sure how well this approach would work if at all... how about using the spline to create some geometry? Copy the spline and translate it and loft between the 2 splines and then convert it to polys with a one to one correspondence to the spline vertices. Save it out in obj format and import it into Modeler and then use one row of the points that corresponds to the original splines to create the path. Save that path part out as a motion file and import into Layout.
I suspect that you'll end up with scale issues using that approach.

I don't know max, but isn't it possible to save out this info from max?
like in some mocap format (you'll need to bake the motion first though, you can bake a motion in max, no?)
then import the motion in lw
maybe a more costly but working solution is polytrans. when you need converting from one 3d format to an other you should have a look at this software :)

Yes, From with in MAX you can export in the .3DS format,that saves
the geometry and motion,,, THEN, get yourself a copy of Life Forms (30
day demo at thier web site)open the .3ds file in life forms, edit the
motion if you like and export it from there as a .LWS file, In
lightwave merge the motion file into your scene.
Crude method? yes, but hey it works
