This piece was for a conceptart weekly submission. The theme needed to fit "WWI + Wizard + Color Pallette" they supplied. I interpretted the wizard very literally and made a contrasting piece where a child is in a war scene.

Wow, thank you so much for the great response and kind words :)!! It's very rewarding to finish a piece, but to hear that people respond to it in the same way that I did with the original idea makes it worth all the time and effort.
I was inspired by my kids and the movie "Sword in the Stone" by Disney... to take something like war and put a spin on it. Here's my sketch book page, with the initial ideas.
