Impressive image that will no doubt stand the test of time. Really love the textures and especially the lighting. It gives off a very surreal feeling. Also I'm still often impressed with Max's scanline renderer
The only thing I can see "off" is the light breaking through the curtain screen right. It looks almost like the curtain is cut.
Anyhoo

Indeed, looks pretty good for a 3-year old work using scanline :wise:  . Congrats for the front page.
it looks like a night scene but you can see the sun through the windows, it is the only thing that doesn´t quit fit, but over all is a great scene, mostly the materials.

The technical aspects of this pic is certainly top notch but what drew really drew me to it is the its aesthetics. I love the way you combined traditional Islamic art and modern contemporary interior design to create something truly beautiful. Awesome work.

Sometimes I think the old renders looked better than the new renders with global illumination. I remember doing the Fake or Foto both times, once with scanline and once with global renderers. I had a much harder time with the scanline.....and I'm not completely sure why (1.ok maybe it was early in the global renderers timeline, because the new maxwell renders are very hard to tell 2. Just weaker renders 3. I had seen a few on cgtalk :) 4. People took more care when doing scanline than they do many times with the new renders). Regardless, great texturing, lighting, and originality with this piece. Did you collect the texture images yourself? Well done!
