Hi there,

Im using maya's anisotropic shader for some armour that i've modelled for a character, and im getting this result. I've used ZB's AUV tiles, for the UV's, and it seems the specular is emitting on certain of those tiles, and not the others... i can't see that this is a UV problem, although it seems obvious, but why would it be? if anyone can help i would be greatly appreciative!

I'm not a maya user, but since no one else has answered your post... Is it possible that the "direction" of the anisotropy is somehow linked to your uvs? If that's the case, then I could imagine the sort of artifacts you're seeing appearing, since if the direction of the anisotropy was a specific direction in a specific area, it may appear like the highlight isn't there..
