this is probably one of the worst kept secrets around..but remo has posted some movies on his site for new part of Phytools which allows viscous fluid generation is called XSPH. It is still in development remo should release it shortly for you all to play with and we still need any feedback you can give or any problems you encounter.

theres a thread on c4dportal about it:

some phytools stuff has been added to wiki but not latest xsph..and its still in progress so more to come from remo on phytools and from wiki updates..once we are at an acceptible place we will pdf it...we are working on examples and vids also...its great fun but busy along with remos contant improvement.

How to apply a material or object for rendering?
I get nothing after many attempts.

*Hint hint* IIRC Realflow is particle-based (you're talking grid systems as in Maya Fluids, right?) and does most of the water jobs now.
Phy 1.5? ;)
