View Full Version : mentalray state->derivs problem

I always got zero from state->derivs, and I thingk these vectors was divided by du or dv,
and these vector denote the camber of surface only.
but I always got nothing. state->derivs[0]....state->derivs[4] length equal zero on every
surface.

I want know the filtersize in mentalray when it is rendering. The filtersize is not dp/du but
dp. In maya workspace, the cloud texture have a filter, How does this filter work? Had me-
-ntalray's programers considered the filter before they overwrited some maya shaders?

Who had these original codes of overwrited maya shaders?
Please help me!

Can I ascertains dp with normel and depth?
Is this way proper?
