View Full Version : Optical FX Shader for MR?
ghostlake114 10-21-2006, 09:36 AM The Optical FX shader in Maya software is a great shader... How about chance to use it in MR... Even in Maya 8 it s still not integrated in MR 3.5 now

Render it in it's own layer and composite it. Render layers in maya can be a mix of different renderers.

It would be awesome to have the shader supported in MR though, I've always had a high need to be able to attach it to an IBL sphere to light the scene, and have a halo appear from a sun behind the mountains or something.

Yes, some case of an output shader...
We also have some output shader like JS_Glare, but a good effect light the optical FX do is the best

Right, seem the only way now only layer and composite, not with MR
