View Full Version : Quadro FX vs. Fire GL-X1, 9700 Pro (sort of...)

For those of you who don't frequent 2cpu.com, this article from Firingsquad.com was linked on their front page today. It is a discussion of building a high-end workstation for a scientific application setting. While not strictly applicable to what we do, the author does digress into how his components might have varied had the application been different, with frequent views into how a high-end graphics workstation would differ.

The article is very well written, easy-to-read and provides some good insight into how various components stack up to each other.

And, most importantly, there is a large section devoted to the Quadro FX 2000 and why he chose it over the Fire GL X1 and other cards.
