I was reading an article/tutorial on the 3D World Magazine explaining how to blow up a bridge in Maya. I was amazed by Maya's dynamics and i was wondering: C4D dynamics can do this too, but it would take a lot of time to calculate the solution...

Amazing how other apps are always better than the one you're using... apparently...

Then i read the Maya Tips on the side of the page. You can learn a lot by reading those tips, no matter which app they're discussing. And i did learn something!!

Quote:
"It takes ages for Maya to calculate a simulation like this."

Not bad after all...

Let's recall a thing: Maya is and has always been a veryhi-end product. Its dynamic engine is claimed to be the best out there together with Havok/Reactor for 3DS Max. C4D Dynamics needs a lot of work to compete with both these engines but Maxon seems to be on the right track as usual :)
