CGTalk - eraser doesnt erase

hey!
my problem is the eraser doesnt erase but leaves the painting white (same effect as if you would have preserve transparency turned on, but it isnt)

ive modified the eraser in the brush editor and now its behaving like that, but i cant figure out what ive done wrong. I already deleted the eraser from the brush directory and copied a new version back in but its still behaving the same.

any ideas?

Yeah, I had that happened before. You mayhave changed the eraser action to cover or built up. Just click on the brush creator cap and hit "Restore Default Variant" to get your eraser back.
