Hi all, this is my first post on these boards aswell as my 1st real attempt at modelling in 3DSMAX or any 3d application for that matter :p

Im doing a Computer & Video games course at University and I have to create a fairly low poly model for a game. I wanted to share my attempt and hopefully gain some good feedback on how to improve :D

So im modeling the famous red bike from Akira and I am using a cast model to reference from which looks like :

and here is what I have created thus far:

Please feel free to post anything that you think can help me improve or where I have gone wrong will be a great help :D

Welcome to the board, I see you are doing the same course that I did, just graduated from Salford a couple of months ago :)

Model looks to be a good start, what kinda final poly count are you aiming for? The only thing at the moment that I would look into is loosing a few of the rings around the grey 'hub caps'. I think you could easily loose two of the rings on each hub cap, and it would still hold its semi circular shape.

Also on the tyres, I would make that flat middle section a bit wider.

TBH I have no Final poly count in mind as there is no real restriction on what it can be in the brief. Im just trying to be sensible and not box over my own weight :p

Thx for the tips :D
