Heya,

I once had a display toggle Funktion for the Outliner. There was a short script, that was binded with a specified Hotkey - something like that...

The great Advantage for this: once you have opened a certain Position in your Groups/Nodes, you could close it (or minimize - I donīt remember really) and when it come up again, your Groups are still open.. and not collapsed again.

anybody nows how to do that?

hi,

assuming that your outliner-window is a default one, and the name is "outlinerPanel1Window"
(you can check with: lsUI -window), then

window -e -i 1 outlinerPanel1Window
will iconify/minimize an open outliner, while

window -e -i 0 outlinerPanel1Window
will reopen it, open tabs remain open.

so,
a simple toggle function could work like this on a hotkey:

{
int $temp = `window -q -i outlinerPanel1Window` ;
window -e -i (abs($temp - 1)) outlinerPanel1Window ;
}

this approach obviously does only work with a tearoff outliner,
since i don't use savedLayouts with inline panels and such i don't know how to deal with that, but that wasn't your question, right? ;)
