View Full Version : matchmover question
Antonio79 10-18-2006, 06:47 PM Hello! I don't know if this is the correct place to ask a question about matchmoving... anyway I'm using realviz matchmover, I solved the camera but if I place a box in the scene in maya it moves toward the right when the camera moves. I want to set the distances between my cones but I can't find where you set the measurment unit for it (choosing if they have to be meters, feets, miles etc...) where do you set that? thanks. Antonio

Someone chime in with needed correction, but there is not setting for the type of unit. From the manual:
Resize the light blue distance line by snapping its ends to 3D Helpers. This scales the scene to using the arbitrary distance between two tracks. The first point of the line is linked to the origin by a thin, dashed line.
So you are free to work with units as you see fit. If you cube is exhibiting some slidage (technical term :) ). It could be be a the result of a not so good match.
Do the cones slide, too?

hello! thanks for your answer, now I solved the problem... no the cones didn't slide. I had to move the group (camera and trackers) until the tracker placed on the corner of a was in the same position of the corner of the 3d box, this way the 3d box didn't slide anymore, I still haven't really figured out how to set the measurements :P thanks again
