It's not entirely impossible, but depending on what version of DivX is on your system, configuration of your mediaplayer and several other things it usually doesn't work in 90% of all situations. Both DivX and WMV employ various means of DRM, multiplexed streams and other trickery to make them "safe" for final content delivery, so they are not really meant to be edited again and there are no guarantees when you bring them inside AE. Your best bet is to convert them to something more usable in external tools such as VirtualDub.
