I'm thinking about getting bigger LCD. Right now I have 17" Samsung. I want to Get NEC with A-TW-IPS panel. RIght now there is 20" (1600x1200) and soon there will be 26" widescreen (1920 x 1200). I was thinking if 26" isn't overkill, for it's price I could get two those 20". Or maybe isn't that so bad ide now to get 20" and after few months 26". Or maybe it's still better to get 2x 20", cause 2x26" is to heave for my pocket :). Please I need advice form people who used big screens in dual setups. Also isn't it that 20" displays to 24" is like 17" to 19" that you only got bigger pixels casue the resolution is the same and that way image is sharper on 20"?

Isn't better to get 20" also because of smaller dot pitch (0.255)?
Also resolutions over 1600x1200 aren't too hard on GPU? I mean what will less stress GPU: dual 20" or one 26"?

This is one of the best displays you can buy, I use them every day and highly recommend it:

ah it's TN panel. No way :). Ok another question is it good idea to get two different sizes of screen? FO example 20" and 24 or 26". Or it's not good idea because of dot pitch difference. ALso what is less stress on GPU one 26"(1920x1200) or two 20" (1600x1200)? Also is having two different sizes of screen even more stress on GPU?

In real terms it doesnt make much difference, they'll be pretty similar regardless.

ALso what is less stress on GPU one 26"(1920x1200) or two 20" (1600x1200)?

a single 1920 will run more quickly than 2 lower res ones. Given the choice though i'd pick the 2x20"

Also is having two different sizes of screen even more stress on GPU?

Nope.

Do you multitask alot or always have a browser window open? If so two screens might be best. Everyone at work uses two screens and it's really useful since you can dedicate an app to each screen. I'm trying to decide this right now as well for my home system and I think I might go with one larger screen so I can also use it for gaming and watching movies.
