View Full Version : Modeling a turkey??

So, for a cheesy club flyer I've been tasked to model an old-school butterball turkey, still in its packaging.

Has anyone done anything close to this? I created a sphere primitive and modified it until it looks close to a turkey package, and then UVW mapped my artwork (which has the text, etc) to the surface, but it looks retarded.

I still need to add the 'netting'

Can anyone help? Sorry if this is so retarded.

It doesn't look that bad at all. A larger pic might make it easier to see. You could try making the turkey and the sack seperately out of a lofted spline cage. Then apply an alpha mapped texture to the sack.

Cheers!

box model from a cube and put it in a hypernurbs. for the netting I would try using a material with the netting pattern in the alpha channel. You could put a copy of your hypernurbs in a cloth nurbs object with no subdivisions but with a small thickness to make it stick out from the wrapper surface just enough -then apply the netting material to that.
