Title: The monster
Name: Dmitry Kuznetsov
Country: Russia
Software: 3ds max, XSI, ZBrush

The base mesh has been made in XSI. The next step was intensive sculpturing in Zbrush. And finally rendering with Vray. I wished to make an end result similar to a sculpture of clay.
c&c are welcome.

Excellent, I'm not quite sure of the band-aid though, it some how looks a bit out of place, other than that its great work though.

Boris Karloff would be proud! And I don't think thats a band-aid, I think its a staple holding the top of his head on.

A very refined work... the expression on the character's face makes him look more like a philosopher than a monster. Great!

I also use XSI. Would you explain, how you made the render so datailed. I mean did you use displacement, normal map, bump or what combination? And how.
I also use zbrush, but can not reproduce so much details of zbrush in xsi, even with exporting the highest resolution normal map, displace map and bump.
Thanks in advance.
