add memory or add cpu for faster rendering

Adding another CPU will nearly double your rendering speed, and more memory will help when it comes to heavy scenes...

More memory will only help if your scenesetup requires more then you have, a second CPU will help all the time (at least during rendering).

Memory is to rendering performance as fuel is to vehicle performance. Adding more fuel to a car doesn't increase its performance...but if you run out of fuel... you get the picture.

(This assumes that you have enough memory for the OS/program to properly cache...if you don't, you should probably pick another occupation)
