the body. I've modelled some poly clothing, but i have no idea of how i could animate it. should i just bind it to the skelleton? i tried creating a maya cloth object, but i didnt like the results. any ideas?

thanks for the replies people, i followed your advice and "opened up" the feet a little. Im still working on the clothes --ill post an update soon.
