In short film made by DOVE http://www.campaignforrealbeauty.com/ is shown a great retouching work done. What is this application? Any ideas?

in advertising you usually don't show products you don't have the permission to use.
the program in the ad is just a photoshop like made up program so they dont' have to pay adobe anything. that's just my guess.

Krists, just to make sure that you don't get the wrong ideas; no program will make you a great retoucher, it's only a tool, a tool that allows you to become one if you have the right talents and/or experience. ;)

it should be pretty clear that those are custom made, very likely even fake, interfaces to make a software feel for that episode. since the retouching work is so obviously not being done in real time as well.

Dont underestimate the power of make up! It can make your girl look pretty. :)

Most big production houses have programmers who build there own custom in house software, most of these tools are specced to the job at hand.

I'm pretty sure it's a made up interface, to look consistent in look with the rest of the ad. Also, it might be tricky to get permission from a company to us ea product in a context that might be controversial.

oh man. I knew about image retouching but i didn't know they distorted facial features also. Anyone got any before/after links to what photos look like before the art department gets a hold of them in these high profile mags?

I always thought it would be cool to get a job doing that sorta retouching for a magazine, not really sure how to pursue it though.

There actually is a couple of sites that showcases before/after photos. One is a flash site and is interactive....if somebody can find it....that would be wonderful

'Face' retouching I knew about but 'interface' retouching is a new one to me:)

Thanks for the link.
I see the point in retouching womens faces to get rid of wrinkles and stuff, but I don't think someone liek billy bob needs it done to him. Just kinda takes away from his 'ruggid' look, IMO.
