just wondering, but aprox. how many seconds of animation is expected of an animator per week or wutever it is they go by? i know this is sort of vague and there might be no true answer, but is there a ballpoint and speed rate that is acceptable?

at pixar, i think its about 5-8 seconds a week, depending on how complex the shot and all the other factors, i could be wrong thou =]

It also depends on the industry...with Pixar, from what I understand, you might be expected to do 4-8 seconds a week, maybe more, maybe less. With a game company, or maybe if you're working for television, they usually want more. Maybe up to 20 seconds a week?
