Hey,

i was gonna post this before, but i thought it was still too raw to be in a post..

The character is a 16, 17 years old Wolverine
i followed the regular human anatomy, but exagerated it like in the comic books and drawings from adam kubert and simon bisley.
hands and heads sizes are bigger to follow a style
still working on boots/feet and belt.

sorry for the image quality.. i dont currently have a server that allows image mirroring

C&C welcome

Give him the exaggerated big a$$ boots and you're on to one sweet piece. Stick with the brown/yellow wolvie suit when you texture and I'll take a bow to you :)

Hey! Nice work man! Very well done!

Não desanima com a falta de comentários não. Aqui é difícil mesmo. Trilhões de postagens por dia.

Como eu falei lá no CGCHAT, só o joelho está um pouco estranho (a ligação dele com o gastrocnemius).

O resto está fantástico.

Valeu e continua postando.

Hmmm.... I dunno.... on the one hand, it's incredibly detailed, and many of the details of the anatomy are spot on. Very impressive. But on the other hand, your basic proportions are a good bit off in many respects. And then there are little things. I personally think that if you're going to tackle human anatomy in such a way, you ought to get everything right. I decided to list my critiques. Hope you don't mind.

1. The hands are too big.

2. The bottom of the chest is too high, which throws off the abs.

3. The glutes end too high as well (they usually end a fair bit *below* the belly button, not above), making the pelvis look too long.

4. The front of the pelvis is too round. It looks a bit goofy. Women often gain fat in that area as they get older.

Those are the major ones. Also, the quadriceps are, obviously, a 4-part muscle group. You've merged together two of those groups together - the outer thigh and a portion of the upper thigh. Sorry I don't remember the names... that's mostly it. And, personally, I don't think I like the super-striated traps... they make him look older rather than younger. The neck in general looks like it could be cleaner.

Anyway, don't get me wrong. I can see you put a lot of effort into it, and it looks almost great. But when you put a lot of detail into something, there's a lot of things people can critique. :D

Antropus: thanks again :)
pois é cara.. não sei porque é tao dificil consegui replies aqui... daqui a pouco eu desisto de postar :annoyed:
valeu cara =D

Kogepan: thanks man.. of course i dont mind.. im posting my model here so ppl can criticize it =),

1. Actually i started out doing bigger hands..then scaled them down... and now im thinking of scaling them down again...
but i still want to follow comic books.. in Xmen wolverines that short strong guy.. with big hands.. so i still dont know what to do exactly...

2. ur right, ill fix it :)

3. dont know exactly what u mean here... glutes arent visible in that front shot

4. ur right =) i got some complaints there.. lol, ill give him some more defined volume in the area :D

The quadriceps region is based off xmen comic books as well, same goes to the neck region.. =) exagerated and sometimes even misplaced muscles to make him look cooler =)
ill still try to correct some of these muscles if they look too wrong

thanks again for the c&c
but i sure dont get why after 200 views i only get 3 replies :surprised
ill post an update today

You should to make muscle too hard(In that picture is so thin), and your height is very short(so large) because Wolverine is short and very strong man....

not a complaint in the least but that kind of muscle definition is making him look a lot older that 16-17(at least to me it is),it's the kind of definition associated with a grown man/someone who has been bodybuilding for ages(though wolverine is ageless, but lets not go there)(also a nitty bitty technical detail, wolverine got those adamentium implants a lot later in life than 17, and now i should also shut up) It's an awesome model and i'm being too picky, keep at it.

Hey...

thanks guys!

Nibble: i didnt wanna give him big muscles cause hes still a teen, but rather defined muscles.. almost no fat at all.. =)

filipe: valeu ae por levanta o topico ;D

Icestar: thanks!
its not that impossible for a teen to have such defined muscles, take a look at: http://www.craigproductions.com/RichardS.htm
and he was 8 at the time =)

i know the extreme definition makes him look older... and well.. weird for a teen.. but i really wanted to follow the comic books exageration which imo is really cool =D
about the adamantium story.. lets just imagine he got it earlier in life ;)
i remember marvel making up that stupid story bout him already having those claws(bone) before the adamantiun... :annoyed:
but thats not that case here!! i dont really like that story...

thanks guys.. heres an update:

whoops! I meant obliques, not glutes. Hey, maybe if you made the fingers thicker & stubbier you could make the hand a bit smaller and they'd still look big. Just a thought.

Man, that 8 year old kid is freaky!

Very cool work Xytrox :applause: like i said before that is scary detail whats wrong with you man, ya need like rehab for overdetailing :P great work! i think that he would look slightly more believable with smaller hands. cant wait to see him textured and wheres that wireframe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did say I was being a picky bastard didn't i?:D , I do know it's a comic book character and therefore anything goes, and two i did assume you knew about the adamentium thing(i mean who doesn't)but i felt like mentioning it anyway 'cause i'm a d*&^head.
i think i talk too much sometimes.....LOL. It's a fantastic model keep at it.

Beautiful model :) I started to create Wolvie a few years back, but only got as far as the basic human model. I still wanna finish it someday.

Yours is much more detailed than mine got to, I love the detail in the muscles. I also think the proportions need some adjusting...

I think the arms are too small and thin. I know he's a teen, but still, his basic body structure wouldn't change too much. He's a short, thick set man, so making him too weedy wouldn't make sense. But generally the arms are too small for normal humans, let alone comic chars.

By making the arms a bit longer, and much thicker, the hands won't seem quite as large comparitively. That said I think the hands should be a little smaller. These are large even for the more characatured depictions of Wolvie.

In the same vein I would make the legs thicker, again just basic body structure.

I also think the neck area is too defined... don't get me wrong, I think it's real nice, but I'd keep that definition for when he's straining, and smooth it out more for when he's at rest.

I can't wait to see more...
