hmmm... what is going to happen?

Incredible lightning effects. I don't usually give out 5 stars, but I couldn't control myself this time.

I really like your Cgwork as usual, and "your name<->5 stars" are always connected to my mind. This work his truly good. As usual : ligning/material/angle view... Nothing to say when a master as you want to represent something.
Great work.
If I would have to enforce one things in your picture it would be to add some bugs/insect, more foggy and volumetric light for the windows on the foreground.
anyway, 5* cause I can't give 6.

Except for the wolves I couldn't tell it is 2D, it seems a full 3D !

As usual you did a masterpiece ! Tilted camera, balance, composition, colors, lights, what else? *lol* You're impressive. Thanks for sharing that !

Congratz !

Best wishes, cya,

Very nice and different from your previous work!

My only crit would be the floor seems equally reflective. It's unclear if there is a thin layer of water covering the whole ground, but it looks like a sheet of glass/plastic is over the ground. Maybe if some of the rough parts were sticking out or where not as reflective it would break this impression.

Anyway I love it! Reminds me I gotta get to work on my own stuff!:)

I always enjoy seeing your new works Raph. This is no different. Great lighting and execution. The Wolves are a bit rough in comparison, but doesn't take much away from the image.

The whole scene with the dogs and the alley reminds me of Lady in the Water when the critic dude got killed. And those dogs are damn scary. Nice job.

Great job.
Impressive atmosphere, lighting and texture :bounce:

The only thing that bothers me is the wolves  They are not as beautiful as rest of the work..

And adding some bugs would've been nice..

Anyway, 4* from me :)

Congrats
Keep good working:applause:

Nice work...I'm not to sure about the clock however...doesn't seem to fit...and why 5 oclock? Is he late for a meeting and the wolves are in his way?

thanks all for your positive feedback!

for those who were wondering, I tried to distort a gothic architecture in a modern / horror mood...
The clock is placed here, like a stained glass would have been in a church for instance, for the shape similarity ;)
and there is no reason why it is 5 oclock or another time :P

Excellent work - great staging and atmosphere. I like that every viewer probably creates a different story in their head to explain the scene captured.

My only suggestion would be to refine the wolves/dogs; they have a rougher 'concept art' feel to them while the rest of the image is highly detailed and more realistically rendered. Since they're in the extreme foreground the difference in detail/quality stands out a bit. Fantastic image nonetheless though

i love this image. might be one of the best digital pieces i've seen. really very stunning! thanks for sharing it with us.

i actually have a question about this piece. i'm wondering, is it about suicide? there's a lot of reference in suicide literature to the "black dogs".

this narrow hallway, the black dogs at one end and a person standing alone at the other, as well as the title all seem to fit pretty well with a person who's on the brink of suicide. the ultimatum, kill the dogs or kill the self to get away from them.

It reminds me a corridor in the first "Resident Evil" on PSX. Do you remember the dogs jumping out of the windows? :D. Supherb lighting, great textures. Overall 4 stars from me!

It's a brilliant piece that i feel is being hindered by the dogs. They just seem too rough in comparison to the rest. Even if they were cropped, you get the feeling that the man at the end of the hallway is there for you (the viewer) instead. But if they're there for the story, then I guess it's important to keep it. Possibly polish them off more?
