Anyway......you can start by learning how to navigate the menu's and the viewports with your mouse and stuff..... begin with basics
Hit F1 like stunndman says, or you can just buy a book ' maya visual quickstart'

the best tip i can give you is to buy a book, thats how my view of maya changed from a veery advanced program to a peace of cake =D.
I bought Maya Fundamentals, and it's really great for beginners.
