View Full Version : Extruding in timeline
realityDysfunct 02-04-2003, 05:46 PM I was just wandering if it is possible to extrude circle along curve in timeline. You see, I want to animate a rope which will go into a knot. This sollution looks rather simpliest if it would work, of course. If you know any better way to do a animating knot, I would really appreciate it.

Ok, it doesn't look so great. When lofted tube looks ok, but when animated it's all shagy and under great deal of distorsion. How can I smoothen them?

Really?
I did this animation according to Highend3d tutorial and everithing work well.
Are you sure you animate COPY of extrude surface?
Or maybe low amount of curve´s CVs for extruding rope - then there are only few dividing "sections" along curve heigh and the animation seem to snap rather then flow, do you know what I mean?
OK, if you work along the tutorial, please try it again and read carefully each word. If it will work bad anyway, I do it myself and write down here straight and clear setup step by step, right?
