Title: 63 Walrus Avenue
Name: Andrew Komoder
Country: Australia
Software: Photoshop, Vue, XSI

Design for the album cover of "The Aveonics"

Created primarily in Photoshop using XSI to design the letterbox and to help with visulisation of the perspective. Vue 5 was used for the sky. The band wanted a dali-esque feel for the cover with a painterly, feel.

Any comments and criticisms are more than welcome

It's a beautiful image, excellently finished. Yet if the band wanted a painterly feel to it I think it's a little too refined, especially the sky. I suppose my criticism is relation to what other people want, and is in fact a compliment to your abilities :)

fablous scene. Definately something original, awesome, and beautiful--and for sure something i'd love to have on my album cover ;).
My only crits:
>the ground looks a bit too white in some places--i think its great for it to be white and bright, but i feel like the brightness is pulling my eye away from the rest of the piece, even though the rest is quite bright as well
>i think the cracks in the ground should be more defined--they look a bit flat. Its nice as is, but see what you can do.

Great Work, m8!

Hi!
Cool compo! strange atmosphere...
I agree about the white 'in your face":)and the sun disk is a bit hard too...
Does the band has seen your proposal?

Thank you to everyone for your kind words and constructive criticism.:)

I agree that I might have gone a little overboard with the the background being very white and the sun disk being hard but I wanted to give the impression of a very harsh, desolate environment. If you've ever been out in the desert in the midday sun it's so bright you can hardly open your eyes. Perhaps I should have made the cracks more defined...

The band and management have seen the image and absolutely love it, in fact it went to the printers this morning...:D
