Why don't You rescale it in PS?

allready did that.....but I don't like those big blurred lines.....so I thougt maybe it's possible ;)

So use Nearest Neighbour resampling while rescaling.
I you have picture 2048 - rescale it to 4096 or 8192 (it's important if you don't wan't to have artefacts)

you can make larger snapshots by executing the command in mel. Just look up snapshot in the mel books.
