View Full Version : texturing subd surfaces without distortion
jungledubber 10-14-2006, 11:05 PM hi, i was wondering if anyone could post their workflow for texturing subd surfaces. I seem to get distored textures whenever I texture them. I've tried texturing them as polys and then converting them and also while in subd. I get a slightly wavey texture either way and see no easy way of fixing this without manually moving uvs.
Any suggestions or tips would be great.
Thanks

it depends what app you are suing, but there should be an option for Subd when you make your UVs.

there are subd uv texturing options, but the result is the same, I've tried using UV unfold and relax but i still get wavy textures.
