I have modeled a character using Virutal mirror. Now I'm done and want the two parts to be as one and smooth correctly..In other packages i would just select the vertices in the middle and merge them.
How do I do this in Wings?

Hi Nborg,

First select 'Break' from the virtual mirror sub menu so you ar left with one half of the model.
Then select the inside face (the face you want to mirror around) in face mode and then RMB to bring up the face menu, down the bottom is a mirror operation select that and bob's your uncle.
One connected/welded model.

sorry big daddy but there is a faster way
select freeze from the virtual mirror menu

hey wasa, you're right.
Has that been recently fixed then, I was sure that if verts crossed into the virtual mirror space so to speak that they wouldn't be joined when using freeze.

Good to know anyway cheers.

bdw if you have verts on the mirrored face then even mirror will not work corectly
to fix them simply select the face and switch to verts
flatten on the appropriate axis and then mirror and everything should be fine
