Hi,

IRIX is not supported by Intel Chips.

It is a version of unix develop for the RISC processors used by SGI on their Fuel, Octane, O2, Onyx and Origin systems.

The version of IRIX will also depend on what version of Flame you're running.

If you have Flame version 4.0.3 then you need to have IRIX 6.5.7f

But if you're running Flame version 8 you need to have IRIX 6.5.16f installed.

This info. can be found on the Installation manual that comes with the software package.

See you.

Well, just running hinv on irix listed so many hardware installed with the one that I'm using now. I don't have the time to type it all. I can't cut n paste 'coz I'm using an NT machine.

I think a discreet representative would answer this type of question. I also don't know how much the machine cost in terms of configuration (but it is capable of film/HD work).

At least you need a stone/wire system with your top of the line Octane 2 with V12 graphics. 2 Mips R12000 processors...

I'm not qualified for a very detailed specs...

If he is interested in buying a 250k flame, he really should be asking these questions to a person at discreet, not us.

RayArt?

flame is a turnkey system! means you don't have to care
about the hardware config.
